Carl's Critter Garden Hanksville, Utah

In the middle of this town, which is in the middle of nowhere, there were a few bizarre and rusting metal sculptures in the middle of the yard of a defunct motel.

All that has changed, however, sometime in the last four years.  Many new sculptures have been added, together with baubles, signs, flagstone walks, and new bushes.

It's right beside Highway-24

Carl is entitled.  This place is fascinating!

Well, Carl's brain seems to be stuck somewhere between 'aging hippie' and 'religious nut'; but in any case, his artwork is ingenious.

Having just viewed Utah's best collection of old machine parts, now we're off to visit the world's best collection of ancient pictographs.
